CAMPSITE TERMS + CONDITIONS

Welcome to our campsite

There is never a convenient time to clean the facilities, so please be considerate whilst cleaning is going on so girls can get this done as quickly as possible.

Our daughter Kerry is the main cleaner and keeps the facilities clean to a high standard. Any problems or breakdowns, please report to her.

If the facilities are messy, it’s a camper that has left them messy !!! Please leave them as you would wish to find them.

Children should be taken to the toilets by an adult to ensure their safety + to make sure they can reach to wash their hands + turn off taps etc.

When staying on a farm where animals live, there is a small but real risk of E Coli so very important to wash hands. E Coli can be picked up from most places – not just farms.

Children are not allowed to play in or around the toilets.

Dogs are not allowed in the toilets or permitted to run freely around while the owner is in the toilets.

Please supervise children if on washing up duty as if taps are left on the hot water will run out.

Lambing season is March + April. Pregnant women should seek advice from their Doctor before visiting at these times.

Extra vigilance is necessary for people unused to farm environments.

This is a working farm + the main yard is strictly out of bounds because of visiting lorries + farm machinery who will not be aware of visiting children.

Please supervise your children on any play equipment and remove them by 8.00pm to reduce noise levels for a peaceful evening.

We do not accept any responsibility for accidents in the play area.

Dogs are welcome but must be secured on their own pitch + NOT left to freely wander around. Owners must also pick up after them.

Our dogs are not fond of strangers at all. Collies can be very temperamental. Two of them are now in retirement, very deaf + going blind. Please drive slowly at all times as they are very much a part of our family.  Do not touch anyone’s dog unless invited to do so.

The flying of Drones is not permited on the campsite, we have had numerous complaints about noise and invasion of privacy.

BBQ’S + Campfires are allowed. Please use an off the ground Brazier/fire pit. These can be hired from the shop during shop hours.  NO TURF DIGGING. Ashes can be placed when cold in a carrier bag and put in a general rubbish bin. Please return brazier to shop.

Do not place braziers too close to your tent in case of a sudden gust of wind !! Make yourself aware of where the fire extinguishers are.

PLEASE try and use the correct bins – It really isn’t that difficult. Do not put any empty gas cans in the bins. You may leave these at the shop.

We cannot take your unwanted camping equipment / chairs, windbreaks etc.  You must take these to a tip or home.

MUSIC

A difficult one !!! Do NOT expect your neighbour to put up with your choice of music. Noise must be kept to a minimum and noisy people will most certainly be asked to leave.

Electric hook ups are up to 10 amps.

They are only suitable for camping equipment not our normal domestic appliances especially kettles and heaters. If used they will trip everyone’s electric.
